Our Story

Once Upon a Time in Napa Valley...

Elaine Honig was a winery partner who served on the board of a local nonprofit in need of some serious fundraising. As a woman who loves to accessorize, she thought, why not host a fashion event pairing wine & shoes, instead of the usual wine & food? The board embraced the idea, and that playful first fundraiser in 2004 netted $65,000 from 160 attendees. Friends started asking her to bring Wine Women & Shoes to their city. One event became 10, and before she knew it, Elaine was working full time on WW&S, helping nonprofits all over the country raise money for their deserving causes.


More than a decade later, WW&S has thrown more than 300 events in cities all across the U.S. and Canada. Our talented team of graphic and web designers, wine procurement experts, and fundraising and event planning professionals has worked tirelessly to document, systematize, and replicate successes. Our proven formula and best practices help nonprofits attract new donors, catapult their fundraising to new heights, and exceed all expectations… with a uniquely feminine flair!

Our wine & fashion-themed gatherings have been galvanizing donors for more than a decade. We share our successful strategies and proven fundraising formulas with nonprofits on an annual basis, providing a full suite of services to support and ensure your success throughout the year. Our talented team of graphic and web designers, fundraising and event planning professionals, and wine procurement experts work closely with you to mastermind and execute a phenomenal event for your community. With our network of fashion designers and winery donors, we can bring glitz and glamour anywhere you need it.  

What exactly do we deliver? Let’s break it down:

•       Exclusive annual license in your city and use of all our intellectual property. You’ll be the only one in your metro area doing a Wine Women & Shoes event.

•       Access to our complete online How To Guide and How To Videos—hundreds of pages covering org charts, job descriptions, a budget template, sponsorship materials, creative ideas and examples, best practices, and step-by-step directions and timelines for each sub-committee. Resources are constantly updated.

•       Project Management, strategy, and revenue generation consulting commence immediately upon signing a contract and continue throughout the entire planning process. Project managers coach and consult on budgets, venue selection/layout, sponsorship development, and every aspect of event planning—working with each of the subcommittees to ensure a successful event.

•       Expert on-site assistance with set-up and day-of event management. A project manager attends every WW&S event.

•       All of our Project Managers are experienced auctioneers and can do your live auction and/or cash call.

•       Web and graphic design Our team works with you to choose and develop your event branding and designs all of your promotional materials for the event, including your event webpage, save-the-date postcards, printed invitations, posters, email blasts, event signage, print and digital advertising, programs and more.  We set up your Facebook page and customize your sponsorship presentations and promotional video.

•       All the wine for your event. Up to 15 cases of wine from 6 wine brands that donate the wine and underwrite their own travel costs to pour at the event.

•       A trip to Napa Valley for the live auction includes private guest accommodations for two couples as well as four exclusive winery experiences.

•       2 additional wine auction lots to be auctioned or raffled, donated by participating wineries.

•       Access to our national fashion partners and designers who showcase and sell merchandise at your event, and underwrite their own travel costs.

•       Access to our Sponsorship lists from hundreds of events across the country.

•       Years of experience and best practices for maximizing revenue.
